YNPN So Cal
The Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) of Southern California is committed to the recruitment, development and retention of emerging leaders in the nonprofit sector. The peer-driven group provides opportunities for professional advancement, volunteer opportunities, networking, and serves as a watchdog group on issues surrounding the up-and-coming nonprofit professional.

YNPN was started in San Francisco about 5 years ago, and has since expanded to include more than 2,000 members in the bay area alone. Affiliate chapters are springing up all around the country, as a result of the technical assistance and support offered by a committee called the YNPN National Task Force. This growing network currently includes nonprofit professional groups from Southern California, New York City and Boston, in addition to San Francisco.

YNPN So Cal's parent organization is CONNECT: Partnership for Nonprofit Solutions. CONNECT is a local center supporting leadership development and providing capacity building and hands-on assistance to nonprofit organizations. CONNECT is a project of Orangewood Children's Foundation, and is currently funded by the Children and Families Commission of Orange County and County of Orange Social Service Agency's FaCT (Families and Communities Together) program.
