Introducing our New Board Member: Adriel Arozco
For the past few months, we've been conducting a national search for three new board members to join the YNPN National team.
Now, we are proud to announce that the search is over and we have selected Adriel Arozco to help build and shape our unique culture throughout the staff and the network:
Adriel D. Orozco is an attorney at the New Mexico Immigrant Law Center. He is currently a recipient of an Equal Justice Works Fellowship where he provides legal representation to immigrants facing deportation and manages a program aimed at increasing the representation of people of color and immigrants in the legal profession. He grew up in Albuquerque, NM and attended Brandeis University in Waltham, MA where he studied Political Science and Economics. He attended the University of New Mexico School of Law and is admitted to practice in New Mexico.
Adriel is active in the immigrant community, having served on the Board of Directors for Enlace Comunitario, which aims to eliminate violence in the Latino immigrant community. Adriel’s work centers around the intersection of immigration and employment/labor laws and in finding ways to build sustainable economies that produce just and fair workplaces for everyone, including immigrants.
On his free time, Adriel likes to read historical fiction, workout, travel and care for his two Chihuahuas, Sol and Osito. You can follow Adriel at @AdrielOrozco
