ABOUT BANJO 
The Bay Area Nonprofit Job-search Organization (BANJO), a project of the San Francisco Foundation Community Initiative Funds, is a free job-hunting resource for Bay Area nonprofit job seekers. Founded in 1998, BANJO hosts monthly networking and skill-building meetings for nonprofit job seekers, a web site featuring job-hunting resources and a listserve providing opportunities for resource-sharing among people seeking nonprofit jobs.

Rainbow Chen 
currently works for AllAdvantage.com , an online company that helps nonprofits raise funds. She previously worked in management consulting and has a master's degree from Stanford University.

Amy Cohen 
is community service coordinator for youth programs at Jewish Family and Children's Services in San Francisco. Her prior experience includes political organizing with the AFL-CIO and managing grantmaking initiatives at The Points of Light Foundation in Washington, DC. She is a graduate of Bowdoin College in Maine.

Lori Cohen 
is currently working as the assistant grant writer at Jewish Family and Children's Services. She graduated from Bowdoin College in 1998 with a degree in Women's Studies and French.

Jenn Cole 
works with Habitat for Humanity International as the AmeriCorps*VISTA Project Director for California and Arizona. She is currently studying graphic design at UC-Berkeley Extension and hopes to one day having her own design firm catering to nonprofits. She graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in Political Economy and Social Relations.

Alison DeJung 
is currently the grants coordinator for the Marin Arts Council (and a BANJO success story!). Previously, Alison held positions at The California Wellness Foundation and the UC Davis Women's Resources and Research Center as well as making a foray into the corporate sector as marketing manager for an engineering firm. She holds a degree in political science from UC Davis.

William Ing 
is a special events coordinator for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the East Bay. His previous experience at a business association includes work in administration, events and research. William has a degree in government from Claremont McKenna College.

Dan Smith 
is currently a project manager in the human resources department for Charles Schwab & Co. He previously worked with abused and homeless children in the United States and Southeast Asia. Dan has also published pieces internationally on child prostitution and is helping to spearhead the Philippine Children's Charity Fund to establish a direct service program for fatherless Amerasian children in and around the abandoned U.S. military bases.

Sarah Taylor 
is a substance abuse counselor for youth at Westside Community Mental Health Center in San Francisco. She has been working there happily for about a year since getting help with her job search from the very first BANJO meeting participants. Sarah manages the BANJO listserve and facilitates the monthly peer support meetings.
