You can help support the growth, learning, and development of young nonprofit professionals in New York City! YNPN is an entirely volunteer organization, and it depends on people like you to help plan, organize, and execute programs. YNPN committees are where programmatic and strategic plans come to action, and we currently have a number of committees that are seeking new members.

Programs Committee
The Programs Committee is responsible for all monthly social and educational events for YNPN-NYC. The events can range from our monthly get-togethers to educational workshops. Through social events, the committee hopes to provide a forum for young or entering professionals to build a sense of community. We work closely with the other Committees to create educational events that allow young professionals to attend workshops with established professionals who can provide guidance and support. The function of our committee is to create opportunities for nonprofit professionals to meet each other, network and share experiences.

Communications Committee
The Communications Committee works closely with the Technology Committee to raise YNPN’s public awareness through our email newsletter, website, and other channels. If you have ideas for ways to raise YNPN’s public awareness, have the skills to do so or would like to acquire some new skills in these areas, then we’d love to see you volunteer with us.

Technology Committee
The Technology Committee plans and develops solutions that allow YNPN-NYC to better collect and disseminate information. Committee responsibilities include website design and development, database support, and email list management. If you have ideas on how to help YNPN through technology, or have some technology experience, or would like to acquire some technology skills, we’d love to hear from you.

Membership Committee
YNPN-NYC has been a fast growing organization and the support from our members is critical during this exciting period. Membership will allow you greater access to valuable resources, network with your peers, find out about YNPN events and have discussions with other YNPN members. We have a particular interest in attracting a culturally diverse group of members from all over the New York City area, representing a wide variety of issues, so that we are able to speak to the needs of young nonprofit professionals throughout the community. If you have experience in membership or development, we hope to hear from you!
