Professional Development

  • Mentoring: Join our mentoring network to meet other nonprofit professionals, network and share experiences. YNPN’s mentoring network positively impacts the professional development of our members through mentoring dinners (our hallmark events), panel discussions, and informal socials. Our dinners focus on a particular topic and bring mentors to discuss their experiences over a meal at a local restaurant. YNPN-SFBA members receive a discount on all fee-based mentoring events.

  • Professional Education: In conjunction with one of our partners, CompassPoint Nonprofit Services, YNPN offers discounted workshops and conferences on such topics as: Boards and Executive Management, Communication and Outreach, Financial Management, Fundraising, Management and Planning, Managing People, Personal and Professional Development, Technology, and Volunteer Management. Each year, we offer a minimum of 3-4 YNPN-sponsored workshops at CompassPoint.
