Along with the rest of this month's news, we have a bittersweet update to share with you all. Our Associate Director, Trystan Reese, will be leaving YNPN at the end of February. When someone says a breakup is “mutual,” it's almost never true. But in this case-- it is. We have loved working alongside Trystan over the past year, and we have accomplished many things together.
YNPN secured it’s first-ever $100,000 grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation to increase our capacity to do equity, diversity, and inclusion work throughout the network and the nonprofit sector as a whole. Trystan’s commitment to racial justice and fundraising acumen supported that process and we are proud to say we will continue that work after he leaves. His support of two classes of Launchpad Fellowships empowered us to build our fundraising and communications capacity and invest in the next generation of leaders. Trystan has been an important part of our YNPN family and we are lucky to have had him on staff for the last year to learn from his experience, wisdom, and deep knowledge of The Office :)
But all good things must come to an end, and Trystan will be heading off to pursue the next phase of his professional career. YNPN will be working on a new evolution of our staffing structure, which does mean we will be hiring again soon. So get your resumes ready! In the meantime, join us in thanking Trystan for his work at YNPN and wishing him luck in his next venture.
